Interior & Exterior Painting in Big Bear Lake
Paint at 6,750 feet fails faster than paint anywhere else — intense UV, hard freeze cycles and heavy snow contact chew through anything applied over poor prep. Ninety percent of our paint work is preparation: washing, scraping, sanding, filling, caulking and priming bare material before a finish coat goes anywhere near it. Interiors get the same discipline, with surrounding surfaces masked and protected and clean cut lines at every edge.
Every project covers this
- Full interior repaints, single rooms and new construction
- Exterior siding, trim, fascia, decks and railings
- Pressure washing, scraping, sanding and filling
- Correct primers for bare wood, stucco and previously failed coatings
- UV-rated and freeze-resistant exterior coatings
- Cabinet and trim finishing, plus complete site cleanup
Four steps, first call to final walkthrough
Surface Review
We assess what is actually failing — chalking, peeling, rot or moisture — because paint will not fix a substrate problem.
Colour & Estimate
Colours and sheens get chosen, and your written estimate spells out exactly how much prep is included.
Prep & Prime
Washing, scraping, sanding, caulking and spot-priming. This is where the life of the finish is decided.
Finish & Clean
Finish coats applied evenly, masking removed, site cleaned, then a walkthrough in daylight to catch anything missed.
The difference a careful job makes
Mountain construction punishes shortcuts. These four things are what separate work that still looks right after five winters from work that does not.
Built for 6,750 feet
Snow load, frost depth and freeze cycles decide what survives up here. We detail for the conditions this mountain actually produces, not a generic valley spec.
One crew, one schedule
Every trade is self-performed, so nothing waits three weeks between a rough-in and the next stage. The calendar you agree to is the calendar we work to.
Numbers you can trust
A written scope by trade, with assumptions and exclusions spelled out. On older cabins we carry a contingency rather than discover it mid-demolition.
Licensed accountability
CSLB licence #1102742, active and insured. One licensed contractor is answerable for the whole project from permit through punch list.
Detail-driven, start to finish
Good results come from disciplined habits rather than shortcuts. This is the standard we hold ourselves to on every interior & exterior painting project.
Straight communication
You hear from us when something changes — before it costs you time or money.
Real preparation
Site protection, staging and prep are done before any finish work starts.
Property protected
Floors, fixtures and landscaping are covered and the site is left tidy each day.
Materials that last
Specified for mountain exposure, not for whatever is cheapest that week.
Written punch list
We work through it with you and do not call the job done until you agree it is.
