New Construction in Big Bear Lake
We build complete custom homes in Big Bear Lake and the surrounding mountain communities — foundation to turnkey, keys in hand. A typical 1,500 square foot home takes six to seven months from ground-breaking to final walkthrough, and Francisco is on site through every phase of it. Because we self-perform framing, electrical, plumbing, painting and finish carpentry, there is one licensed contractor answering for the whole build instead of a chain of subcontractors pointing at each other.
Every project covers this
- Site prep, excavation and engineered foundations
- Framing built for mountain snow loads and wind exposure
- Rough and finish electrical, plumbing and mechanical
- Insulation, drywall and level-five finishing
- Interior and exterior painting and finish carpentry
- Turnkey delivery — you receive a finished, cleaned home
Four steps, first call to final walkthrough
Plans & Estimate
We review your plans or help you shape them, walk the lot, and give you a written estimate with a realistic mountain build schedule.
Foundation & Framing
Excavation, footings and engineered foundation go in, then framing that is detailed for Big Bear snow loads and weather.
Trades & Rough-In
Electrical, plumbing, mechanical and insulation are coordinated in sequence so inspections pass the first time.
Finishes & Handover
Drywall, paint, trim, fixtures and flooring go in, then a full walkthrough before we hand you the keys.
The difference a careful job makes
Mountain construction punishes shortcuts. These four things are what separate work that still looks right after five winters from work that does not.
Built for 6,750 feet
Snow load, frost depth and freeze cycles decide what survives up here. We detail for the conditions this mountain actually produces, not a generic valley spec.
One crew, one schedule
Every trade is self-performed, so nothing waits three weeks between a rough-in and the next stage. The calendar you agree to is the calendar we work to.
Numbers you can trust
A written scope by trade, with assumptions and exclusions spelled out. On older cabins we carry a contingency rather than discover it mid-demolition.
Licensed accountability
CSLB licence #1102742, active and insured. One licensed contractor is answerable for the whole project from permit through punch list.
Detail-driven, start to finish
Good results come from disciplined habits rather than shortcuts. This is the standard we hold ourselves to on every new construction project.
Straight communication
You hear from us when something changes — before it costs you time or money.
Real preparation
Site protection, staging and prep are done before any finish work starts.
Property protected
Floors, fixtures and landscaping are covered and the site is left tidy each day.
Materials that last
Specified for mountain exposure, not for whatever is cheapest that week.
Written punch list
We work through it with you and do not call the job done until you agree it is.
